    Default Boston Heads

    Rollerblader since 96.

I am thinking about picking up and moving to Boston. I would like to live in the City... but fuck it, who cares.

Anyone have suggestions? I'm a 26 and looking to meet new people and get established.

Whats rent look like, jobs and urban markets - farmers markets in the city? Rollerblade scene.

Rent is really pricy if you want to live in the city the cheapest you'll find that is livable is probably around 800-900 range for a studio. if you have the funds i would go for something around 1000 a month + to get a decently nice place.

    tons of rollerbladers.

    jobs not so much.

    farmers markets are everywhere.

Im sure someone like Smolak or Chen could be much more help than Me

Expensive but nice. I suggest you move there. Or Providence if Boston is too expensive. Close enough to Boston and also a fun place to be.
    Richie Eisler sucks

its nice here, but not much goin on for jobs, but i guess it depends on what you do. i suggest living in an area just outside the city to save a little dough on rent, like quincy, braintree or other surrounding areas.

Or the Forest Hills area close to the train station... so many crack heads/heroine addicts around here.

parts of dorchester are also real sketchy.

Best bet would be Mission Hill/Bringham Circle area for affordable housing..

    Also Brookline

you should check out Jamaica Plain, its like a borough of Boston. You can easily find a room for around $400-$600 a month. Its kind of hood but theres also a ton of artists that live there too, patty smith had a gallery right at the end of my old street. Good food and bars and lots of small shops. Over all I would say its the best place to live in the city. Brookline, Allston, Brigham circle, mission hill, and fenway are all way too over priced to live in due to all the college kids there.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Much love. I'm planning on flying out in August to scoop places to live. Should be interesting.
