Meh..... If you know the history of it and don't plan on killling / threatening anyone go for it. If you want to be completely legit, just go to a gun store and they will give you some paperwork too fill out to make it official. Also depends on what state you live in some states you can claim yourself as a private dealer and sometimes you need places with Federal Firearms License (gunstore) to do it.
yes you can you dumb fucking moron piece of shit. just double click the thread title in the forum. then edit. then hit enter. you ignorant shit fucking cum guzzler. you smell like the arse of a goat. you have the charisma of a guppy, and the wherewithal of a french fry at the entrance of a McDonalds. This also implies that you are dirty shoe scum. Born to be stepped on by the fat useless masses because in fact you are even more useless than they are. Your message boarding skills are abhorrent at best. You're a vile excuse for a human being. Your mother told me to tell you she'll be home late, and theres leftovers in the fridge. Make them your god damn self.

Fuck you're right. It doesn't appear to work anymore. I've edited one of my post titles with this method in the past week, and I have chrome as well. All I had to do was double click the white space around the thread title then it would become an editable text box. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT MOD DISABLED THIS FEATURE TO MAKE ME LOOK FOOLISH! SHOW YOURSELF!!!

If anything just look up online what your state says or just go to your local gun store and ask them and if they say you need them to do it just ask for the paperwork then and there.
quick google search pulls up:
same state- yes, face to face purchase
different states- need ffl
^ ahahah it is texas man of course you can do it. I think in FL it is legit too, I think all you have to do is print out some bs paperwork, write down details of the gun, and both sign it. Either way going to a gun store and filling out a piece of paper is not much work and then you will be at a gunstore looking at awesome killing devices.
yea unless your friend is selling it for less
^ what?
buying a used gun from a friend may be cheaper than buying a new gun from a gunstore
and why are you saying that. No one ever implied that he should buy a gun from a store.
you really couldn't this information out on your own? it took me less than 5 minutes to google it. however, i would suggest not buying the gun because you are clearly not competent enough to own one.
Buying a handgun in WA. 101:
WA State law RCW 9.40.040 "Unlawful Possesion of firearms" explains who is ineligible to own or possess a firearm in WA state.
Under WA State law, you must be 18 to own or possess a gun (RCW 9.41.042), while there are some exceptions where minors may possess a gun, for all intents and purposes, the only State age requirement for ownership is 18. It makes no differentiation between handguns and longguns.
WA State law requires dealers to fill out registration paperwork and get the necessary approvals before delivering a handgun to anyone.
There is no paperwork or registration requirement under WA State law regarding sale of firearms between private parties. RCW 9.41.080, does make it a felony to deliver a firearm to someone you have "reasonable cause" to believe is ineligible to possess it.
You can voluntarily file a "Private Disposition Transfer" form available at http://www.dol.wa.gov/forms/652004.pdf with DOL if you want it to be registered, however it is voluntary.
The age 21 requirement for a hand gun purchase is a Federal one restricting FFL dealers from delivering handguns to anyone under the age of 21.
Perfectly legal in Ohio.
As long as the gun has a serial number on it you're good to go.
