  1. #1

Default snowboarding video with canon 5d (with new firmware)

the making of a snowboarding video shot with a canon 5d markII (making off also shot with 5d). if nikon doesn't come up with a 1080p for the d700's successor I'm switching to canon.

I'm slowly making my switch to canon. Luckily I only own a nikon D300 body and a set of AI lenses for my letus. Either way I like canon glass quite a bit more. And now that the 5D shoots 24p that may be my turning point.

think they will ever come out with a firmware fix for the jiggly rolling shutter thing? or is that more of a hardware problem?

they can't do much about it, I think it's related to the cmos sensor. So far it's not been a real issue for me

I'm right there with you. The very least nikon could do is update us with a firmware update that enables manual control on the d300s. I badly need a second FX body to pair with my d700 and nikons holding out. Im hoping for that canon killer, d3x level resolution, d3s high iso performance, and some decent video.
