    inverts, sliding inverts, switch-ups, forward cess slides, backward cess slides, leaving to go skates, round 'em ups, sweatstances, and chill shots. Oh yea and back flips and non back flips.

    Language actually dictates the ways people think, and influences the opinions they have. What's happening in this thread is the first step in dictating the ways people will skate, and influencing their opinions of what is and what isn't "good skating".

    A good example of what I'm saying would be DL's section in Coup d'etat compared to DL's sections in Words.....one conformed to the prevailing structure of what "good skating" should be, and the other broke that structure down.

    I'd rather skating be less structured and more free-style.

    Ok, let's keep it free-style and never talk about skating again. Oh yea, and cover up the captions when looking through skating magazines too.
