you pretty much described how i became the proud owner of 14 different pairs of k2's...
PS the carbon soul mod on the 250cc's feels sooo damn good. that buckle and heel strap are by far superior to anything k2 has put out recently
^^yeah man...id love to carbon soul mod them but im actually just gonna pass them on as well.....dont have cash to buy souls and the boots feel pretty snug(they are 10s)
I wish I could remember what model K2's I had back in the day. It was either backyard bobs, or style points bobs. Regardless I've been skating an old pair of Backyard bobs lately and have 2011 fatty's on order.
would not have gone with fatty's.
kicking the inside of the plastic toe cap has hurt me more than kicking something without the cap on. always bruises my toe when my toe nail is knocked back.
remove that thing. the rubber underneath is pretty durable. I personally would hold off until the carbon soul mod had been completed though. adds a little bit of plastic to the sides to swap wear of the souls for wear of the boot.
are you skating them with or without heel pads in?
Ill have to try the fatty's around the house and see how they feel. I can ship them back if need be.
Not sure what else I can get for cheap. I don't go hard, and I rarely jump anymore. I was never that good anyways, but now my body won't let me try what I used too.
no the heel pad will lift your heel (remove the falling back feeling) but will push your toes forward a tad bit more.
i have not seen the symetric souls on k2's yet. I want to see the 2.0 souls on some style points though.
how easy is it to dremel the plastic on the symetric souls? how thick is the wall to the backslide plate area? i've only seen adapts in person 2X (both times being Julian Bah and he wasn't overly excited having me looking at them) lolz
