Default Just got my Sony FX1. (tips?)

i've got the camera part of it down pretty well. im working with a PC, and have never done anything with HD before so this is all an experiment. im going to be investing in adobe premier cs5. but will this be all i am needing to do?

CS3 handles HDV natively, and of course so do 4 and 5. You can get the student "production suite" for like $400 if you;re in school, it's actually a really good deal.

make sure ur computer can handle cs5. i personally gave up on pc and went to mac because of windows 7 and nothing working for it. download the trial version of cs5 off the adobe site and see how it works for you before you drop $600 on the program or 2 grand on the cs5 suite

Personally, 10 minutes of searching torrents is much easier than shelling out the 400$

If your serious about editing, buying the program is always a good option, though.

shut the fuck up, little man. you are not technically inclined enough to contribute. you aren't telling us anything new, torrents have been around for years and you sound retarded anyway. i'm not clicking on any link that your mom does web cam work for, you creep.

    Default hmmm

if you have the money i would say buy it. you get a lot more support + online updates and you just never have to worry about anything.

but if youre hood (like me) then you try not to pay for shiz! which means do youre homework on torrents youre going to have to find a reliable safe torrent site to get software from, and a key or key generator, which also takes some trust and research. then you can get any program you want try it out and throw it out.....

premiere would work fine and if you have after effects you can get down and dirty but its hard to use... i would say get a book on whatever you decide to jump into!
