    Default Razors Cult to Xsjados

I'm currently skating some culy but want new skates, and i was thinking about getting Xsjados.
I simply love doing negatives so i thougth they'd be good, i also love have lots of ankle suport and no heel-lfit.
would xsjados be good for me?

Cults have way more support and way better backslide plates.

I was skating Cults on and off as my main skate for about three years. I just recently bought a whole new skate setup of Xsjados.

Cults: The shells go 6-7 and 8-9 and I'm an 8 skate so they were a little big on me but fit pretty well compared to other size 8-9 shells because the cult shells are pretty narrow. I had them double buckled and buckled them tightly so I had the best ankle support of any skate I've owned (the high cuff helps with this too). I had poofy liners in them too which made them very comfortable. I disliked the shallow backslide plate and small soles. I disliked the frame channel placement (as with all razors and remz) being more towards the instep rather than centered under the foot.

Xsjados: I really like the fit but there are some pressure points that I'm starting to get over. I like the sole size and the backslide plate is up for debate on whether it's good or bad. I think the concept is a great one because it slides right into the soles (for when you're shuffling into a grind or spinning around on a ledge for switchups.) I really like skating around on them because the frame placement is centered under the foot and the center of gravity is lower than with the cults. I really dislike the amount of give the cuffs have and the overall lack of support the limited plastic structure gives. Some people have stronger ankles and like to use them when skating but I'm not one of them. The fit is great but the cults were slimmer and fit my foot very well so I feel as if they might have fit even better than the shadows.

As for you, depending on how much support you really like they might be good for you. The best thing is to try them out and get an idea of how they skate. There's a lot of hardboots out there that fit differently and give a lot of support but there are few softboot skates and only one skate like Shadows. With any skate you should plan on customizing it to your foot and skating style though. Hope that helps!

Thanks, i also thougth of the xsjados for one more simple reason, i'm have an embaressing small foot, a size 5! so when i ride my Cults i have to ride double-tounged liners tigthend as hard as possible and buckle to the max, so i thougth id give xsjados a try.
Ive tried the xsjados but the ones i tried were size 8, but they felt really nice

and my cults have nimh souls on them so i have no problem with that

Alex, have you skated the regular cuffs or still skating the v-cut Xsjados? I made the same transition and absolutely love it. Play around with all the straps RzrsCult and Xsjados will feel absolutely amazing. Backslide is solid and the souls slide good and last longer than Classic Razor souls (not much though). The standard cuff is very supportive but also has some flex. I Just got back into skating a year ago, from an ankle injury that had me out for 2 1/2 years, and these skates are amazing. Just play around with all of the straps, cuff pad position, and buckles.

If your foot is a size US5, first off, don't be embarrassed, and secondly, don't get Xsjados. The 6/7 Cult shell is still too big for your foot but it'll be better than the current small Xsjado skeleton (which is more of a 8/9 size). Unfortunately your options are very limited at that foot size for a properly-fitting skate.

Your best bet by far would be to check out the RB Solo boot, as they actually have small boot sizes, they have good heel lock like Xsjados due to the instep buckle, and the negatives are big. I would go for the Estilo or Tribe models as they have the instep buckle, not the velcro strap (the velcro strap doesn't do much). Assuming your overall size is proportional to your foot size, I would also go for a "normal" frame, too, not the Switch frame, which is tall even for big people.

Uhm, don't you mean "the Switch frame is tall even for short people" ? I am very tall and try to get as low as possible, so it would be logical that "even small persons find it tall".

RB Solos look really good, you can also skate Salomons (they made size 5) if you can find some. Ask justinthursday, he might have a pair.

No, I meant what I said, because the frame height is fixed, regardless of how tall the person is. Meaning the frame is lower, proportionally, on Manute Bol (RIP) than on Louie Zamora. The frame will not feel as tall to Manute as it will to Louie, just as the tennis racket or baseball bat that Manute would use would feel way too big to Louie.

    Oh I see.

And holy shit, Louie is short!

and im also a skier racer, and i've heard that it is the ski company Nordica that owns Rollerblade (im not sure) so they migth be good for me.

I vouch for the solos. They are good all around skates.
