I was curious about Asher Roth and the undeserved buzz and hype regarding his debut album so I downloaded it this morning. It is exactly what I expected it to be. The production is tight, and the lyricism ranges from average to below average (Asher mentions weed and being high in the majority of his tracks). Some of the samples are a bit odd as they come from poprock music, but I guess it works out. I cannot stand how he pronounces his words so thoroughly, and it gets more annoying the longer I listen. However, despite the albums flaws, it's still better than Jim Jones of Dipsets latest album. (see Jims latest single : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZICAZwMW2NQ )
