    Default xsjado footwrap lift

first off, everyone prefers different skates, i love the xsjados, they fit my needs perfectly however i have the damien wilson boot and foot wrap and the heel lift is disgusting lol.

does anybody know how to fix this? i have size 9s a couple days old.

it looks like there are holes to pull the buckle straps around the boot more but i am uncertain if this will fix the problem and was wondering if anybody else had the same issue.

im veeeery aware the first models didnt do this and that i can purchase new footwraps but surely i should be able to roll a pro model stock as it comes without any issues??? HOW DID THIS GET RELEASED LOL help

    peace!

Tighter is better with xsjados adjust the buckles to your personally foot sizing.

The '09 model all have the lowered notch on the footwraps heel. This causes the heellift. Previous generations did not have that. The '10er footwraps all have the same notch as the Salomon footwraps had. So other than getting different footwraps or shoehorning something to the inside of the cuff to make it 'longer' in the appropriate areas won't prevent you from heellifting.

Excuse me for the gibberish. I feel like I have a knurl in mah brainz today...

I remember the Wilson footwrap causing immense heellift in certain skates (Basic '08 & Farmer '09), because there isn't much padding on top of the foot which makes it difficult to tighten the ankle straps as much as possible. However the Wilson footwrap works fine in my Schwabs. I'm assuming this is due to the better padding inside of the ankle strap.

Changing the postition of the ankle didn't do anything for me.

Why would they make a frame for flatskating with a humongous groove?

Why would they make a carbon fiber skate with no forward flex?

Why would they make wheels which decore during the first few sessions?

Btw: I made a post about the heellift in Wilson footwraps some time ago in the hardware forum. Search for 'heellift' and you'll find it.

    YES.

I have been skating Xsjados for about a year and a half now, and I love them. Probably will not skate anything else for a while, but I have noticed the Wilson footwrap giving me heel lift, which I thought would never occur in Xsjados. I think it is because the Wilson footwraps lack laces, allowing one's foot to slide within the wrap.

Just get some laced footwraps and you'll be golden.

I agree with your other statements, but not this one. I have more than enough forward flex in my carbons, yes I know there is no "pivot" point on the "cuff" but its not like the carbon fiber goes all the way up, the cuff is just foam and leather and stuff that all moves with enough force. What am I missing here?

The inset strap hurts my arch from time to time. Im considering using arch support, could help stabilize the foot a bit too..

In my experience, the Damien wraps blow. Try a different model if you can. And obviously make sure everything is adjusted correctly.
