Heard recently that Nimh was bought out by sunshine.
So i guess the only skater owned company is Low Life apparently.
If Sunshine brought Xsjados, the latter wouldn't have no ankle support AT ALL. Razors cuffs are the most unsupportive cuffs I have ever tried. They don't lock like Roces/Valo or Salomon cuffs, they just "close".
This is becoming a pro corporate rollerblading thread. Seems like the big guys built em right.
sweet, i would be able to get replacement parts for a skate i can only ride properly backwards, and can't grind with
fucking sweet

Brazils Homie kanye would rock some purple Footwraps
The plastics are exactly the same now as they were from Salomon, save for the souls which are a little harder now, to make them faster.
The soft parts of the skates (straps, padding, etc) were definitely below par for the first two years of Powerslide, but I would say that they are now on par or even better in certain ways (longer top straps with better velcro, Schwab cuff padding is really nice, ringholder comes with two screws).
This idea that the Salomon-produced Xsjados were so perfect and trouble-free is just the hyper-nostalgia that rollerbladers love to apply to everything more than five years old. Every pair of my Salo Xsjados had the ring-twist problem, and so did many of the pairs we sold at Octona; eventually I just started fixing it on all the pairs we got in. We warrantied at least a dozen pairs of cuffs to Salomon and later Trendkiller, and we gave away probably another 3-4 pairs off of old skates we had.
The skate was not and is not perfect. Powerslide's start with the skate was indeed a bit rough, but they have done a good job of catching up. They've kept and expanded the team, kept placing ads, kept sponsoring events. They're already working on a completely new boot. Even if Salomon had never been sold and never axed inline, they almost surely wouldn't be doing any of those things with Xsjado.
ok you re allright conference make those skate better than salomon... In fact it s pretty normal Conference make some improvements because they work on it since long time.Salomon only produce the 1st generation and the DL 2. I ll be curious to ask to farmer or stockwell or latimer wich one they prefer. I m not nostalgic about salomon it s just every company have been beat by the crisis and all the plastic are pretty shitty right now.
Sorry but they re is a big difference in skate made in china and skate made in romania of in the french factory.
I think its safe to assume that sunshine owned them all along
I like my nimh skates more then any other I've had over the last 14 years
I don't care who owns or distrubutes them, i'll continue to buy them
but i have a feeling that sunshine owned them silently all along
I just don't see how somebody with such humble means could afford all to get these molds/patterns etc etc
i'm probably wrong
