Thats not what i was thinking at all really. I didnt think about skating being related untill after the trip. Although i did think about skating when i was looking at this perfect stair rail at the raft launch site.

    I lold at this.

but yeah, I think rollerblading has helped me be more daring/dangerous. Like when I write an essay, my thesis is always much bolder than anyone else's in class.

I don't think it has made me think of things as being less dangerous, I just don't really hesitate as much and stuff like that because I'm more in tune with my body's limitations and can realistically predict what will happen if I exceed them. Like I know if I am not going to clear a gap, I'm going to land on my feet and fall forward, rolling onto my knees and shoulder. Other people just have so much uncertainty that if they don't clear a gap they just assume death or something.

For the record though, I'm not that good at rollerblading, but I have gone skydiving and it was awesome.

I can't even J/O unless I am standing on the edge of a cliff.

An that probably wont work anymore because I know that falling from height isn't that dangrous as of yesterday, when I dove 10 feet into a waterless pool (sticky coping).

I never do dangerous stuff when I skate, so i'm not really jaded to danger.
I'm just more aware of my body I guess, and I like to jump on/off/over things a lot more now.
    soon.

haha so true. I'm a cook, and I cut and burn myself quite often. The waitresses get so worried and think i'm weird because I don't show signs of being in pain. Shit like that's nothing though, I'd way rather slice my finger then slam my hip on pavement going full speed on blades.

Rollerblading makes everything less fun for me. I'm bored with school, bored with money and bored of TV.

a big part of the "tolerance" that comes from skating is because most mistakes you make while skating are met with immediate repercussions in the form of pain and injuries. with most other activities there's an distinct safety net of some sort. knowing that if you fuck up you're probably not going to get too fucked up really fucks a lot of activities up.

yea it makes me less afraid of doing things, but it doesn't take the fun out of it. i skate so much i NEED to not skate some days. and i enjoy not skating sometimes. but, regardless of me feeling like i need to not skate sometimes, it is definitely the most fun thing i do.

Every time a actually have time to skate...I bring my camera to make an edit...but then i have too much fun actually skating to ever break my camera out.
