Giving their pro's their own pro model.

Every pro on USD and xsjado has a skate.

Razors, remz, nimh, etc. They all find one rider (haffey, aragon or shima) and kind of neglect the rest of the team, instead of embracing them.

Ever seen a Connor O'brien pro skate?

I wonder why companies sponser riders that they don't want to promote.

Well, USD doesn't always get it right in that respect.
Daniel Prell Classics with Type M's?
He skated UFS Thrones and has been riding flat forever.

But yeah, even if the rider doesn't get a 'true' pro skate, at least they get royalties.
The Prell Throne was practically an Allstar in terms of pricing and color scheme, so they probably sold fairly well and got Prell a decent amount of money from the kids who would've just bought the team skate.
