total money invested was $1.97 everything else was laying around in my garage
just added the grip
PS, i don't have a vice, I used a rock and a brick
might add a mount for a light

That's pretty awesome, was going to say add some sort of grip to the handle to make it more comfortable.
Wrap the handle in the some bike tape or something. Holding that is going to get very annoying very quickly, it may even compromise a good shot.
"You are a menace. A walking pestilence."
Built this a few weeks ago. This is the position for fisheye filming (worm's-eye). It also has a mount in the 'middle bar' so you can operate the flimsy camera more smoothly.
It also protects the body a little bit if you decide to drop your camera...![]()
I added a bike grip, it's much better now
I'm not sure the length of the metal I used but I used all of it
lens is Tamron 17-50 2.8 DiII SP with no image stabilizer![]()
