Don't take photographic advice from those who buy Bronicas.

Thanks everyone for the input. I have decided to go for the 60d over the t2i but i'll have to wait til christmas to save up a kittle extra for it, but will be worth it. Unfortunatly I would have waited the few extra months for tax return and spent the extra on the 7d. But I want it for my vacation back up north for new years. But I can also upgrade bodys later down the line and spend my tax return on other stuff i'll hold on to for a while.

I just got in my nikon d7000, replacing my d300s and i have to say its nice. No need for me to switch to dreaded canons anymore for my slr video cameras. Live continuous autofocus while filming! Jello that the d90, 300s had is gone. Full manual control as well. Two years late, but so worth it.

I just got mine too. Don't use AF during video. It's not great and the noise from the lens focusing is terrible. It's a gimmick.

CCD sensors suck and Nikon only uses CMOS sensors now.

I prefer nikon personally I'll prob be upgrading my d300 to a d7000 until the d400 comes out cause I want the video option. From side by side comparisons I've seen the only real difference between canon and nikon as far as picture quality is colors, canon shoots warmer and nikon shoots more vivid which is more my style but considering that's a two second fix in ps I don't consider it a real diff.. The only problem with beginner nikon cameras is they dont feature internal focusing motors so your stuck using newer afs lenses but I'm not sure about the canon lens system/bodies. The video on the d7000 still isn't as good as canon but that is the only thing nikon isn't beating canon with in all the recent reviews for features and quality. Nikon is also supposed to have a superior auto focus system but I can't really tell a difference.

Canon AF is supposed to be superior because they don't use screw driven AF. Canon AF is faster but not always as accurate as Nikon's AF.

That's the first I've ever heard of that, I always hear nikon has better af even chase Jarvis always talks about that's one of the reasons he uses nikon. Maybe canon is faster but like you said if nikon is more accurate what's the point of speed? It's like having a Ferrari that can only kinda go straight lol either way I hate canons operating system and body layout which is why I don't use them.
