Somebody has some explaining to do...
" I've been out of the category for years, but this will be a top, top company product, and it's four wheels on the ground they're wanting"
RB Suspension frame?
The initial sketch of those frames doesn't really indicate any shock absorption for impacts, transitions would be a dream on them though.
I don't know enough about the technical aspects of frame design to see that. Although they may not be as badass as independent wheel suspension they look promising. Looks like they have some kind of a 60 56 56 60 design going for it too.
It looks like something that might actually be coming out soon... Those posts were made Jan 2009.
Let's get a big topic going on this one.
I dont understand, from the sketches it looks like there's nothing securing the wheels into a position.
Are the wheels just kind of dangling inside the chasis? Like when you lift your foot do they go into claw shape like the kizer suspension but when you stride they go flat?
That is some bionicle type shit.
wuckin it.
And WHO is licensing these bad boys?
Gotta be RB.
was that sprungster guy tom h?
Yeah that guy said something along the lines of "This is like my fiziks project with skatepile.com years back" or something.
THAT IS THE HYSER.
wuckin it.
i tlooks like it does exactly PLUS suspensionOriginally Posted by Davengo

NO.
Tom Hyser paid to use the Sprung technology for Fizkis. Fiziks was Tom's design using the Sprung technology. It was an expensive project because of this.
These protos we're looking at are from the Sprung dude but are obviously being developed by a company with some spare change... I would like to think it's Tom Hyser helping him design that frame. Maybe it's going to be a powerslide product because of the H-Block? ha ha ha...
The more I look at it... The more potential it has. Let's cross our fingers we can fit our face wheels on the outside ha ha.
JakeorDie. Can you contact this guy and help him with the design of the H-block/shoulder area?
Can you imagine if we got a new Flat Suspenion frame that grinded well? YEEEEESS!

ps. i kinda hope this isn't for real.
pps. anyone want to buy some fiziks frames?
OH god yes. H-block needs work...
With our luck they are being made by powerslide and the h-block problem will be a staple of the rollerblading industry for years to come.
As far as I know, Tom Hyser is the man when it comes to bringing Keith's design into the "Aggressive" frame market. I really hope this is what Keith & Tom are referring to, having RB license the patents and make Fiziks II with their marketing & distribution power.....especially if the new design addresses the complaints some had for the first Fiziks. Look at this pic from the Sprung site;
You can see that the rocker arms are paired on two pivots and share two cushions, this means lighter cheaper and no grinding on the inner pivots. You can also see the first picture shows flat-rocker (NOT flat), allowing a bigger split and better clearance for the middle wheels with UFS. Don't worry about the groove, Keith's drawings won't have the final groove design because that's not his specialty.
If Hyser gets this done right with RB, I'll be very excited to skate 'em.
looks sick but he did fuck up the groove on the switch frames..Originally Posted by jakeordie
Nah the Switch frame was a done deal by the time Tom started on at RB, supposedly Bruno Loewe was the man behind it.
ah. i dont know shit. lolOriginally Posted by jakeordie
well he fucked up
It was probably more like an engineer knowing nothing about aggressive skating being told to make something with Bruno's concept in mind. The switch frame has good ideas but they aren't tweaked correctly.Originally Posted by justinthursday
I really hope some suspension technology comes back to skating. It's logical progression.
