Last episode was dumb. I feel like this show is going to be disappointing.

I've read some sneak previews of episode 3, it's supposed to be on par with the first (which was ballshrinkingly awesome). I love this show. It pisses me off that the first season is only 6 episodes, but at least it's getting renewed for season 2 which will have 13.

It was worse than episode one, I wouldn't call it bad. Just not on par with the hype and what came before.

and it kinda was like fuck the comic were doing it just random(episode 2)

they used the smell to get into the city for guns not to get people out of the city like the first episode was pretty close then the 2nd episode was just off

The quality of the show should be rated on how enjoyable it is to watch, not on how closely it follows the comic. The comic had some dumb arcs that I didn't like, that I hope they skip over. But both should be judged on their own merits.

i watched only the second episode, it wasnt bad, i guess ill have to watch the first one, because while the second one was good it was a little drawn out, im watching a zombie show, i dont give a shit about most of the dialogue.

on that note, having a cop as the main character is either retarded or brilliant. cops are the epitome of representing the preservation of the status quo, and we all know that the status quo has serious flaws, in that respect it was retarded, because this main character is really cool and respectable and they are glorifying cops by association. thats why we always have cop and soldier movies, in my opinion. it's not a conscious decision, but a subconscious decision that proliferates complete and total respect and reverence for soldiers and cops when in reality it should be a much more nuanced form of respect for certain parts of their career (like dedication and self sacrifice) and indifference or disapproval for other parts of their career (like complete obedience to authorities that have questionable motives or purposes) which is not to make any blanket judgment about their integrity as people, but what i am pointing out is that it glorifies a career that can be morally questionable

on the other hand, the writer may have been fully aware of the implications of having a cop as the main character of a zombie series, in that case it may turn out brilliantly

    does that make sense?
Have you read the comic? If they only stick to its themes and message, you will not be disappointed.

Great show so far. The only thing letting me down is some of the acting. Pretty weak at parts but we'll see how it plays out.

I'm not saying it is. The comic was quite slow to pick up, comparatively speaking. But it does explore certain implications and very human scenarios of such an apocalypse most movies and other subject matter stay far away from. I sometimes see it as an extremely localized version of World War Z by Max Brooks. It's not about blood and guts, it's about a group of characters in an interesting narrative. I think this show will turn out similarly.

First episode was pretty sweet, second was a little weak, I'm juiced for more.

The comic is really good, for those who'd like to read it, here's a torrent to get you started:

You'll want CDisplay to view it:
