very very sexy!
bring a proper monitor. no focus assist with real lenses is a bitch.
moot. molars. montegue.
So it let's you use any type of lens regardless of who makes them?
Sorry for the noob question, just curious.
I’d take an old FD lens over an EF any day if it comes to manual focus. The current Canons are garbage for focusing manually.
how much you want for that 170?
why would you buy such an expensive doohicky if all you do is film skating?
not trying to hate, but honestly why spend so much money?
thats like a down payment on a red....
or you could get a dslr with pro mics and glidecam, 1.8 lenses e.t.c.....
uh,
cause i earn my money with film and postproduction.
And i like to have a cam at hand for short jobs.
Rent is expensive and complicated in switzerland.
(not to mention that there are not enough renthouses and most stuff is never available)
filming Rollerblading with it is just a NiceToHave. (and a really good way to learn to handle your cam in uncomfortable filming situations)
1.) That question was for Juan specifically.
2.) Are you guys turning into americans?
unless juan is filming some epic video, whats the point?
its like buying a dslr and a pointless battery grip just because you think you'll need it, and then only shoot on auto....
*if you are in the field of video, and cinematography then it makes sense....
but juan has already been in the HD game since it started... yet a video has never come out, just instructional videos explaining how to cut up your skates
and put yoga mats under your souls.
soo.... why do the upgrade?
again not hating...... great that he has the money to drop 4-5k on a cam
better come through with an awesome video juan.... prove me wrong.......
Live Fast, Bleed Slow
it owns the HVX200 in every way.
Way less noise, better handling, less weight.
It gives me a better image than the 5D (less artificial)
But i don't have all the bad points of DSLR filming.
I have a waveform monitor, i really like the focus controller
and i can grad a HDSDI signal if i want to go uncompressed.
Great thing for a small price.
Some of the buttons are weird and there is a lot of things i wouldn't have put where it is but i'll get used to.
only neg thing is the cropfactor which doubles all my lenses. But i have enough wide+fast lenses to cover that. (Vintage nikons ftw)
