You cant use an old example of the best rollerblader in the world and try saying that it is evidence that we have not progressed much. The fact that would be a pretty good section now and days is just evidence that Haffey was just super ahead of his time. HOWEVER, if Haffey were to put out that section today, there would be some kind of rollerblading uproar. "HAFFEY SOO FELL OFF BRAHZ"

His body posture, style and clothing all denote a progression in his skating, and if you're using his example as typical of rollerblading in general (which I think is problematic in itself) then you still chose a bad example.
