    220 foot drop into water and survives with a broken tailbone and briused lung.
    He was on a school excursion and later told classmates dared him.
    Google lists world diving record at 177 feet.

    I recently watched the documentary The Bridge. It's about suicide from jumping off of the Golden Gate Bridge. It follows stories of a few jumpers. One being a guy that survived (without a scratch)
    It's pretty interesting and worth watching.


    Edit: I can't believe that guy said his friend was mad. Most people would have thought it was a suicide attempt and tried to help, then be relieved that he lived.
