    Default religious americans...

they say "if you love god, you love the USA"

and "If you you love the USA you love god"

I find all this modern bible hugging shit a bit retarded. Most of the people that signed the US constitution were atheists. Why do you think they included "separation of church and state".

All these christian groups coming over here to "help" are only trying to convert people for money. The Catholic church's play book.

yes, religious people r the worst, esp when they try to say they are "helping" in a disaster or third world country, when really its quite back handed. "you want our help? heres a blanket and a bible". Its is def not a genuine way to help, just a way to spread their views while making it seem like they are great people for being so helpful in time of need.

America is the country which has degraded Christianity so much that it is unbelievable.

Also, please don't mix American catholicism with true Christianity, two ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS.

if u bring up god, no1 can touch u in this country, u will forever be right as long as u say god before hand.
because if u questioned god or a persons opinion on god ur the crazy one, not the guy with an imaginary friend.

God has spoken to me, and he said he wasn't real and that people need to shut the fuck up about him.

Atheist forbid accepting help from people that have a belief in a higher power. It really does take away from the fact that they are there to help when they have those silly beliefs. Humanitary efforts are only applaudable when done out of pure atheism, because they are not doing it so god thinks they are cool.

I'm an atheist and I accept help from all religions. I just don't want to hear your beliefs.

pretty much. its like christian charities in Haiti, those people r starving and need shelter, so they hand them a bottle of water and a bible, like a tax on their giving, its done for the right reasons. yes they r helping, but only to serve their own interests.

The only reason anybody does anything is to satisfy their interests.

or maybe it's because... they believe fictious fairy tale books will help build morally righteous and strong people? i agree with some of the things said in this thread. but it's not like christians are going to other countries with the intent of only spreading christianity.

    it's more like...
how do you help those people who've been affected by such disasters when you really want to help?
unless you were a rich fucking baller, who really had money to just throw at people... AND an organization to help aid you and what you wanted to do for those people in whatever way you'd cater to their needs... you can't really do shit

those people are in pain, suffering loss and whatnot. a lot of them probably just thinking... why? and wtf do i do now? yeah a lot of them do turn to the metaphysical... in come christians... who aside from wanting to help, want them to know what made them want to help, and what may have possibly helped them in the past. i could give a fuck less whether they give them bottle of water and a bible. wtf have you done? texted some random number to donate 10 dollars to feel better about yourself?

As far as I see it, either you accept Jesus as your lord and savior, or he'll mount his flaming eagle, and launch sharpened American flag poles from his Patriot bazooka through your stomach till you believe.

    Seems pretty simple, right?

Religion is a private affair and has no place in schools or government.
