    Default i need a laptop

    and i would like to know if this one would be good to do some video and photo editing (Photoshop CS3 and Premiere CS3).

    its great for photoshopping and good for video editing

    but 17" is big as fuck

    see if there is anyway you can downgrade to windows XP. vista is horrible and uses up alot of memory. if you have XP on that thing it will run amazingly quick.

    FUCK GATEWAY. my parents have insisted on buying their shitty computers for the last 10 years and they always have problems...pretty much all hardware related.

    my aunt and cousin just got me this HP laptop since my gateway one crapped out one me http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218041150023

    it's really dope and runs plenty fast.

    Laugh,

    That laptop doesn't have a good built in video card. If you want a "good" editing laptop, look into buying one that was made for Gaming. Gaming and video editing use the same powers and have the same needs.

    The ram, harddrive space, and lcd screen size is not bad at all for that price. But if I were dumping that much money on a laptop, I'd invest a few hundred more into getting one with a decent graphics card.

    otherwise, go for it.
