This week the brand new USD Carbon 3 can be pre-ordered, with release the first week of October.

This is what Don had to say about his skate:

The Bambrick Carbon 3 is just as light and maneuverable as the Carbon 2′s.
You still have the option to heat mold to your skate giving you the perfect fit.
My skate has a higher liner in the ankle area giving more support and comfort.
My skate is a dark blue with black accented leather with hints of gold and red.
I am very happy with how they came out and the added ankle support is a nice
improvement. If you liked the Carbon 2′s you will surely love the Carbon 3′s.

Funny! I remember seeing the poster of it at Bittercold and talking with my friend about whether it was a true or AO fish. We decided that it HAD to be AO because nobody does a true fish with that much commitment.

why don't the carbon 3's come with the VII sole plate to protect the toe cap fabric from ripping? I thought that the next gen would have different stiching or something to correct this from the II's. Just a concerned customer hoping for a longer lasting boot. That is all.

It looks like the toe fabric does have a bit more stitching. And I would guess that Don's skate comes with Carbon plates because that's what he skates? Plus the VII plates apparently don't fit on Carbons in the appropriate size without a bit of dremeling. Either way, I don't see what the big issue is, as any decent skate shop can swap them for you when you order the skate.
