Two of the candidates are the Carbon 3 and Valo JJ lights..

Back in the day i rode Salomon st9s (which according to me felt great) and before that Roces 5th elements.
Bought a pair of RB Alpha 7's a few summers back but i never really liked them.

The Valos look really cool, but I've never tried them and my feet are quite narrow, not sure if that's a good match.
And the "unbearable pressure points" that the Carbons provide sounded kinda...unbearable.

    Any tips, pointers and such?
If those Alpha 7s are a size 7 I will buy them from you!

AND POST PICS of your worn out Carbons, bro.

Yeah, after some thinking and reading the Carbon 3s seems like a pretty good choice.. not quite sure just yet though.
So you guys think that Carbon 3 is a better fit for a guy who really liked the Salomon st9s some ten years back?

The Alpha 7s are size 10, and they're also situated in Sweden . Hopefully you'll find a pair closer to Ohio.

I have tried on the 3s and I own the carbon 2 olive and the eisler carbon frees and none off them feel like the ST9's. I skated the 8s and 9s back in the day and loved them more than any other skate ever. they fit so well.

This is really frustrating when you can't run off to a store and try the skates on.. I actually have to order the skates from another country.
The pressure points of the Carbon 3s is really worrying, as well as the liner mishaps i keep hearing about with the Valo's + that they don't seem to fit a narrower foot.
Can the K2 Varsity or the SSM Marc Moreno be something to take a closer look at?

The point of the Carbon 3s is that you can heat mould them so any pressure points disappear.

    this is a review!
not a place for you to voice your concerns about pressure points in a skate you have never tried on...

how do you know the points that hurt in my feet will hurt your feet?

Ok, sorry, I'm out. No need to get all McEnroe, though.

    Thanks for the tips.

skates look cool and a good review. My SKs came with material on the bottom and the plastic protectors around the cuff bolts so guess you got a bit unlucky with your C2s.

Dont know if enough improvements have been made to get the C3s and am more interested in getting the Carbon Frees. The C2s felt perfect right out of the box and after heat molding them felt even better but reading review of the frees makes them sound a bit more appealing and the extra weight of them doesnt bother me at all, as long as they fit like the C2s i'll be happy.

btw did you have any problems with fitting your CO frames onto the soulplate? Mine wouldnt fit in properly and had to shave a bit of the plastic off so theyd sit right in the gap. size L frame on a 10.5 US if that helps.
