Frames for flat/rocking 59mm
I'm on Nimh Shima V2's with GC FLT-II frames and M1 murda1 59mm, and have a problem getting used to a two wheel setup.
I'm used to Powerslide FSK Cell streetskates with 4x80mm which I wear and shift around for a very slight rocking setup.
So, on the Nimh's I tried a 57+59+59+57 setup, using the stock 57's as outer wheels. Pure bliss for me, even the stock ones being more of a flat profile than the M1's.
Given that the FLT-II frame has almost equal wheel spacing, the 59mm center wheels won't leave me too much distance to the block, so the wheels will snap on rails and such.
I've thought of shopping a Kizer Elements Howard frame, as this one groups wheels closer to the ends two-by-two. Docs says 60mm outer, 58mm inner, and I'd like a 57+59+59+57 setup.
Will it be possible to mod it to take 59mm inner wheels? I do realize the inner wheels will be almost right on top of the UFS bolts, but still.. looks like it should be possible simply by dremeling the UFS mount base a Bit and maybe either recessing the bolt or find a flatter one.
Other frames I should consider? I just read Justin's http://www.be-mag.com/msgboard/showt...DES-(PICTURES) report, where 59mm wheels looks to be burried fairly deep, so maybe there'll be less wheel snag with those, though I think i'd still prefer having the center wheels further from the block.
Oh, and anyone have experiences with Amphetamine titanium bearings sold by tgm skateboards?
Those interests me due to the low weight, and likely being good with the salty weather we have here (sea all around Cph).
