    heat mold them.
    one at a time.
keep them in the heat until you can make the carbon move by squeezing it.

pull them out burn yourself several times on metal parts.
do them up so tight they hurt like hell!
do not be afraid to pull on them laces really hard!
stand with knee bent until cool...

if that doesn't work heat gun from the outside and push from the inside.

    Stickied thread for usefulness.

    My take-

AC1s. I have low profile remz cuffs on the shells from the USD carbon 1s and the TRS skins slip straight over them perfectly. Its a lot easier because this is basically the shell that RB made ten years ago but without the heel lift and with CF instead. Loving them, but nothing beats my Deshis so far... although it is apparent that I need a cuff on them pronto

    Thanks man.
And that looks cool. I would go and sew the bottom up anyway so that it doesn't just look like all those TRS with dual plates kids used to do.
I have Detail 2 skins that I've been meaning to do this to as well.

I think I kind of like it like that - its throwback in a way I also thought about removing the red heel section to show off more of the carbon, but I dunno lol. I'm secretly pissed off at you for being right - I bought fancy atop liners to put into these skates, but all that wwould fit were Salomons, just like yours!

I did this with my Morales skins and it makes em look a hole lot cleaner espcially since there is heel rise designed into the skin. I also sewed the bottom closer to the base.

you have a shell that is heat mold-able!
you could make an army boot fit inside if you wanted too...

Justin what did you use to shave the carbon cuff area down? Maybe it's in the video and I missed it. I'm attempting to shave down the carbon on my USD Carbon 1 and re attach everything the way it was.

I thought I PMd you but my sent box says i didn't...anyway sorry to pester you

I'm following your steps in the video but can't find and size 13 shoes (for my 11 shells) without dropping decent cash on new ones. I'm thinking I may as well just buy actual skins. Do you think SSM skins will work in a size 11? 10? 9?

Yes you can use skins but you still need to modify them a lot.
I usually would say one size down for skins. You will probably need to tighten up the heel area and you want the bottom of the skin to wrap under the boot. Nimhs are huge so you might actually want to get a size 9 skin.
I just put size 11.5 skins on a 12 shell and it took a lot of work to size them down. It would be better to have to stretch them over the shells.
