Normal Carbon souls VS. VII souls

about to have some bambs and the guy selling them to me is giving me some free vii souls taboot. What is the difference and what do u prefer and why?

The protection is nice but they're too wide. Many people wore holes in the BS plate right away including me.
What's better about the heel area? You have to shave it to fit onto Carbons properly.
Really the only thing I don't like about them is that the BS plate is super weak.
The width wasn't a problem. I just did some cess slides until I got it a little bit smaller.
I'm going to take some epoxy and fill the back of the BS plates and see how that works for me.

i prefer the soul area of the VII..
why?
no idea.. feels like it locks on better. probably because its so wide.

i prefer the groove in the standard plates tough... i like the locked in feeling.

Personally I'm loving the VII souls on my carbons- they feel like the old k2 souls but you can actually still buy them! The torque groove is perfect in every way and I'm quite gentle on my skates so I don't expect to go through the plates immediately.

VII plate is so much better, better groove, more space. Better in any point.
Full tork are perfect with VII plates

i also prefer my vii plates over the carbon plates, never like the carbon groove until it was also though and by then my soul is too small from my liking...also the round heel area wasnt my thing!

For my the vii plate is a set up from the carbon plate, nice groove, nicer shaped soul, more boot protection!
