    Default Skates on a plane

    Anyone know if you have to put your skates in checked luggage or can you use a skate carrying backpack and have them as carry on?

    carry on as long as the bag fits in the overhead compartment or under the seat

    They don't even need to be on/in the bag. You get one carry on bag and a "special item."
