I remember watching that over and over in the lounge at pelican pool and ski when it came out. That was such a fucking bad ass time in blading cuz there was very little media available so we had to figure alot of shit out as we skated. I remember hucking myself onto rails and off various gaps being able to say, "Im the first person to ever do that shit, fuck yeah!" Exhilerating.

First steezy ass forward dub is at 4:51. I mention this only because it looks as though he's wearing a vest at first.
Now we know where Juan Burrito gets his first trick from.
Damn, that video was my genesis!!! I had a different copy though. My copy, it didn't go to black half way through Daves 244 frontside. It just showed it. It had a disclaimer at the beginning where it said that if you're faint of heart watching this video might give you a heart attack. And after watching the fall section I felt that that was pretty true. The falls section didn't have all the Neda Gane falls. And There weren't those ads at the end after the credits.
I've heard that when skateboarders watch old school videos it's like a religious experience for them. Too bad it's not like that for some of us out there. And yes, I rocked all them pads cuz that was the image. That's how it was and we never questioned it cuz we were having too much fun. I even had the schweetist Pro Design elbow pads with cheetah colors and red elastic. So epic. And plus, grinding handrails with metal wrap-around grind plates was the absolute coolest sounding thing ever! You could even feel the paint chips fly off as you destroyed other peoples property!!!
i hate working...
I don't think i have enjoyed a vid pre-LTB.
I remember this time when i was a kid starting aggressive in 1996 at the age of 14. We had never seen a vid or something in our little village in germany, there was just a sport shop that sould some razors impact and so everyone got these. We gave our own names to grinds and there was nothing more than front and backsides some soul variations and the one masterpiece called shifty royale.
Good old times, and arlo dropped of a heli
Next step, red soulplates, wheels and white instep strap
