Default Cutting plastic off of the cuff and buckle protectors on Salomon Boots? anyone do it?

i Just want to flatten out the back of theboot so its even, and i was thinking that if i cut some material off of the plastic underneath the buckle, then that would make them not a pain in the ass to tighten past 3. If anyone has done this and had positive results let me know

The cuff is higher in the back. I was wondering if people had taken some off the back and made the cuff even. With my skates, i cant notch the buckle more than 4 clicks. I was wondering if removing some of the plastic under the buckle would allow for me to have more rang in buckling

I also cut them, at least to flat but once I even added a slight v-cut to them. not much, about a half an inch or so, and that felt even better. yeah, and get longer buckles.

i cut the back part of my salomons flat, kinda like a v-cut be less deep. feels good with the stock liners, i think any lower would dig into your ankle and hurt like a bastard. definitely dont cut the buckle protector or inside of the cuff, it will only detract from the the skate i feel. do a short cut on the cuff and see how it feels, if that doesn't do it for you cut more of the cuff, or get longer buckles (which most of the ufs salomon have the longest fucking buckles)
