So I wear size 6.5 in shoes and have been skating my xsjados at the size 4.5 setting for the last few months. I liked where my foot was over the h block when i had them set at size 4.5 .
Now I have carbons in size 6(they fit big) and the frame/soulplate feels too far forward compared to what i have gotten used to.
So; is there some magic mathematical formula that explains the location of the h block under your foot to keep you perfectly balanced which skate manufactures use to set up their skates? Or is it semi random where the h block is. Like, am I messing up by trying to skate with the h block and backside groove farther back? Would it be better for me to get used to where it is set or should I drill my carbons to have the plate/frame set farther back?
If Im not messing up by putting the plates/frames farther back, does anyone have any useful tips for trying to do this?
What would be a good way to set up the skates so that i get the holes for the ufs screws in the right position? And is there any special type of drill bit that I should use for the skates seeing as theyre carbon fiber/fiber glass?
Also, what would be the best way to access the UFS nut inside the skate without trashing the inner liner completely?
so this isnt just a wall of text(I hate post without pictures)
check out where the heel is on the xsjados compared to the carbons
thanks for your help
