Maybe it's just me but they looked like the souls didn't slide well at all.

are the soul plates machined plastic? Doesn't look like a mold, maybe its uhmw? These things look proper.

after watching that edit, I think they should just go ahead and rename these Sticky Soulgrind Brand Skates, that seems to be pretty much the only trick you can do in them.

pretty underwhelmed by these, tbh... USD has a bit more time under their belt at this carbon nonsense. Also, the 'cuff' setup looks junky and weird, the skins aren't very nice, and the soul plate is uhmw which is nice, but looks pretty uninspired. plus, chances are you're gonna blow out the heels in the non-replaceable liner in 6 months anyways (inb4 someone derps out about carbon mods. I know, you assholes). all around, a more expensive carbon skate that probably skates similarly but hasn't had as many kinks worked out yet, and costs more.

    Not sure if want...
How many skateboarders does it take to change a lightbulb? One, but it'll take him 100 tries.

An all UHMW soul plate would be boss, but wouldn't it's warping be an issue down the road?
Overall, they look far too similar to the Carbons, and USD has the money to invest in testing that these guys probably don't have access to. I would wait for them to make a few models before thinking about getting them, and at $800 a pop (if that's true) I don't think they'll be around for too long. I did have a pair of the Remedy skates that (I think at least) were handmade, and loved the shit out of them. Great concept, but without the backing of a major brand, I don't see them being above and beyond what is already available.

they look ill imo, id like to see these skated by a few more people before I draw any conclusions. If i remember correctly they said in an interview the skates would run about 399 euros, id imagine that's boot only...ill see if i can find where i read that.

As far as the boot goes, that should be around 300-350 € depending if you want the soul plates on them.
Why wouldn't you just read-Monday posted the link.
