Default does anyone know how to make SSMs lighter?

i have the morenos and i cant find a single thing even remotely wrong with them except for the fact that thier pretty heavy as far as skates go. is there any alterations/improvement i can make to make them lighter?

you could butcher the shell some more but it won't do enough to make the lessened support worth it, would only suggest that to people downsizing shells and trying to fit their larger liner/foot inside.

goddamn nimhs, I love their team and some of their skates look sick, but even the 6/7 shell is boaty on me. size 5/6 shell please, mr. shima? probably the size that wee man needs anyways...

I just got done modding my Nimhs and I have to say that the majority of the weight is in the soul plate. I don't know what type of plastic they used but it's heavy as hell. Aside from drilling holes in the plate and cutting up the shell I don't know of any other way to lighten them up.

Dood if I knew, I would go that route. Maybe Valo, Nimhs/SSMs are based on a wider m12 Chinese knock off. I dunno how much it weighs and what it would take to get it to fit. I mean I'm all for breaking out the Dremel and box cutter but, is it even wort the trouble? justinthursday might know.

Nimhs/SSM are classic razors that are toe cut. Classic razor souls suck. You're screwed bro.

    Buy Valo Lights.
Put SSM skins souls cuffs and liners on the Carbon shell.
    Boom.
    Lighter.

Also. Valo and TRS souls will fit on great. TRS souls are pretty light.

You could get cults. I like them.

Or you could just adjust to the weight like the rest of us have done, and discovered that they're the fucking best. If you can't, ebay them up and buy something else.

    best ever ^

skated mine like that for a while, however couldnt carry on because i started feeling uncomfortable due to my feet growth, so what i did is toe cut my roces, changed cuffs and put ssm skins on them, i know theres probably no much difference between ssm and roces shell however i find that the roces shell fits my foot in more snug comfortable way. Dont think they heavy at all but that depends on the size i guess

    switch ttp

I would try the Valo souls. I love how they skate.

Otherwise, do some box jumps with heavy work boots on.

Not buy ssm. They are the cheapest brand on the market, but that will come with concessions. The soul plate is where most of the weight is in that skate and anything made to fit that boot is going to be only slightly lighter. Some people skate them without the skins, watch your toes.
