No. I will never buy them. I haven't bought a brand new skate in years. I may pick them up used off of someone but that's it. I can't justify buying them when I could make them with enough time and effort and probably less money.

^ My foot hurts when I look at this pic...
There's this material bulking up parallel to where the carbon ends. The perfect place for something like this as it hurts *10 times there. I went at it with a hair dryer and couldn't really do anything. Then I adjusted the insole a little and it felt a lot better. May ask for a replacement if this doesn't do it for the long term as the skate is clearly in no working order with something like this. Other side is perfect.
If you look at the pic you may notice that the bottom seam is way too high, it looks like the sole material moved to the left altogether. Maybe that's why there is so much stuff there. The part that hurts isn't the grey mesh stuff, it's a part of the skate that is covered by this.
welcome to the club, i got bunions on the side of my pink toes now because of the inconsistencies like this
They won't replace them. Never got any replacements on faulty goods from The Conference, even when I asked nicely and went through the proper channels.
How many skateboarders does it take to change a lightbulb? One, but it'll take him 100 tries.

I had problens with rubbing on the inner part of my ankle with Deshi Carbons when they were new, tried thin socks, thick ones, layering two pairs, everything. in the end just had to give up and offload them and accept my feet just aren't made for built in liners.
i suppose you've probably already tried this but maybe use two pairs of laces, one covering the lower foot eyelets so you can leave them looseish and alleviate the rubbing a bit, with the higher eyelets done up as tighly as you like? or possibly use a thinner set of insoles and trim the area down for more room where it rubs?
Shit hurts...
this is the exact pain i had. i wear size 10 (im a 9.5 shoe) so im in between. i put 2 footbeds in there to lift my foot up just a bit. cant feel the carbon destroying my pinkie toe now. might want to try that. doesnt even matter what socks im using. it just takes a bit to figure out what footbeds do good and dont take your heel out of that cup area.
Exactly what I did: changed the position of the footbed so it covers the pain causing part up. Also wore thicker socks for a three our session yesterday and the skates felt good man. Well, not as good as Carbon Frees but yeah...
If the pain comes back then you could take a hair dryer or stick them in the oven again and slide the padding around until it's where it needs to be and not bunched up. That's what I would do if I didn't gut them.
new carbon 3's will have the carbon come down where you guys are getting pain. its not going to be on the side anymore, just on the toe. heel will be bigger
Tried on a different pair in the same size. Felt good man, no problems.
