Unglücklich Socks to wear in Carbons

    inb4Mondayisafagit

Here's my problem: ever since I experienced the joys of Carbon Frees I have been increasingly unhappy with what the Carbon 3's I am skating now do to my feet. They hurt.

I have heat molded the skates once and most of the pressure points have gone away, but I will most likely have to bake them again to perfect this. This won't change the fact my feet feel like molded in concrete when I skate.

What do? I know there are these sports socks that have all kinds of patches on them but which of those work for skating?

Wouldn't something like that cause more pressure points?

For what it's worth, I always rock redwings in my skates. I have worn these socks for almost 20 years now, nothing beats them.

Try skating bear foot or rele thin socks will make the skate feel more like part of your feet

I think of it as the socks becoming a part of the lining. More stuff in place that keeps my feet from being attacked by the carbon. I don't want to eliminate the "close to the foot" feeling. But pain is an indicator for too close.

Yes buy if thers pain from a tight fit then thiner or no socks means less pressure try it go put a bear foot in the skate and you will see ...if u want more room wear thiner socks

I heat molded them with multiple layers of tissue paper taped to my feet in relevant areas and two pairs of (normal fitting) socks on...

This will sound weird but try a very dense and very thin sock(like a nylon or neoprene sock) with a regular cotton type sock over it.
Works in all the right places. I'm too lazy to ever actually do this though.

Is it heel pain that you're experiencing? I find the the heel cup shape in USD Carbons is just way too small. It needed to have a bigger cup like Salomons.

On another note. I've torn out the liners in Carbon 1 and 2s and replaced them with Remz liners. For whatever reason the shape of the Remz liners is an absolutely perfect fit for the Carbon shell. You will probably get a little but more forward flex though. I've been saying I was going to do a tut on this but I keep putting it off.

Also, this is where my main pressure point is. There must be something wrong with my feet...?

I alsmost stopped doing topsides because it isn't exactly funny having your bonez dig into the carbon...

    More heat molding... soon.
