Default Anybody ever worked on a cruise ship ?

I just applied for a job on one working in the cafeteria, or galley I guess they call it. Seems like it might be a interesting expirience and a good way to safe up a few G's over the summer. Anybody heard any stories ? This is like small ships with only like about 100 passengers so it's not like one of the giant ships.

Don't do it. This is a small one, look at the size of that seagull.

I love kids. They're short, highly emotional people who don't know anything. They rely on their creativity and imagination to get by in the world. A world, I might add, filled with giants. Amazing feat.

Who cares, you will get some serious cash, and it wont last longer than 6 months. Also, It wont be hard as you think, lot's of socializing with different people will occur.

Remember you're stuck on a boat spending 0 dollars a day and paying no bills.. that money adds up quick. Cruises seem pretty shitty and boring to me but I've considered doing it just to save some bread.

Haha that article is pretty funny. I kinda skimmed it, but there were a great many truths in it. The chocolate on your pillow phenomenon is real. That guy is really cynical though, and he probably would have had a much better time if he went with a group of friends.

I also think working on a cruise for a month or two or until you got sick of it is a good way to make some money and do something different. Travel and stuff.
