How are they for the heel/achilles(as far as padding on the back of the liner)? With Broskow liners, i can feel the cuff/shell digging in the back and it bugs the hell out of me

hmm... Hard to imagine a comfortable liner thinner than the valo one... But I believe you.
Are you mentioning the space between the tongue in a good or bad way?

Could be good or bad depending if you like the puffy look...
Just noticed I had to tighten down my outer laces more...

I have used them in a pair of thrones I couldn't wear cause they are too small. This is the 8-9 shell, I had to widen the lace area by baking the shells and wrapping the liner in socks and wearing them till it cooled but it worked perfect.

A couple things I noticed. First the tongueless design is awesome but looks kinda goofy while wearing as the piece that overlaps sticks out, I had some Velcro sewn on mine and its perfect now. I emailed trust and they said they are going to revise itlater on.
Second I find the liner almost too thin especially around the ankle a area, not that its uncomfortable its just the liner feels loose to me in the boot. I do get significant heel lift of the liner even when the inner laces are tight, but I contribute this to the valos lacing system not coming up high enough. I plan on implementing a Velcro instep strap in the shell which should resolve this but it is worse with these lin ers over stock.
Lastly the PVC stuff on the heel has seperated from the liner and one of the lace eyelets is right on the area of the cuff fastners causing wear in that area. I'll get some pics up soon.
You're not supposed to use these true to size really. They're made for people that are like an 8.5 and wanna skate the 6-7 shell.

Inverted, what about the heel lift that supra2jz mentioned? Do you have it too since you have a size 9 in an 8/9 shell?

Hey sorry about getting to this late. I do not get any heel lift at all in either my size 9 black and wines, nor in my size 9 JJ lights. Same skate obviously I am just stating the point that I don't get heel lift in both of my skates. I was worried about this since the size of the liner is smaller than stock liners, and the carbon shell is a longer and wider profile. I do not experience this though.

Just thinking, it could be how loose you have your skates. I strap my buckles down pretty good but I could see that if they were loose, this being a problem.

This totally. Its a weird juxtaposition. They are thinner, but more comfortable. That was my point about liners over using foam padding to compensate for poor ergonomic construction. The Trust is thinner, but better fitting and feeling.

You won't even be able to downsize with Salomon liners. You'll be lucky if they fit at all. Mine barely fit but they fit perfectly because they're some of the thinner ones. I didn't down size my shell. I skate a size 7 Salomon boot that I slightly heat mold the toe area to push it out for the big toe. The Carbon shell in a size 7 fit's perfectly and has just a tiny bit of extra room for my toes. Just enough to not smash then against the shells.

I am actually selling a third unused set, brand new in box in the classified section. Let me know if anyone wants a set. Black size 9.

I skate a size 10 normally (but lights in size 9 are actually 10's)
My cuffs aren't super loose, I skate with 4 bars showing on the buckle.
I do strap my liners pretty tight and snug down the inner laces but the outside laces aren't tight.
I Haven't "heat moulded" my boots so that may be our difference.
That being said I have 3 pairs of valo lights and 5pairs of spec ops liners....
So I guess that tells ya how much I like the liners. (plus I'm paranoid I won't be able to get em later).

I hope my local shop carries them so I can try the 10 and 9. I skate Xsjado and Carbons, but it's one of those things you just want to buy for future use.

I got my set of spec ops today.

I was greeted by a tasty packaged sitting on my desk when I got to the office.
Spent a 4 hour sesh in them on a spine ramp tonight and they are by far the most comfortable liner I've ever had.
