After having my camera bag on my front seat and having to slam on the brakes last week, sending my gear flying to the floor, I thought it was time to take precautions

    Inspired by eddie.

The black section on the bottom left is one of the extra insert bits that i use to "encase" a bunch of spare batteries, light meter, mem cards case etc...I gonna get the organizer you can get for the lid part to replace the foam and store all my stuff in there instead.

Peli 1510 case from above image on the bottom right, above that is box of studio lights, above that is cables, flash batteries etc. etc. On the left is for softboxes, lightstands, backdrop support system etc. Top left is tool box, softbox grids and shit.

Paper backdrops hiding around the side, this one is about 3 deep...I store 2.7m paper backdrops in the garage.

We use a hard plastic golf bag transport case with wheels for our lighting equipment. The Pelican 1700 isn't as expensive as I thought, only about $150-175.

    Nice.

It's kinda irritating. I took off the thumb screw shit and readjusted it so it only has to turn about 45 degrees to give enough to let the plate off. It just isn't meant to be in such a tight space. For a while I had the plate mounted sideways flush to the back of the glidecam so I could twist it as much as needed, but moved it back a couple days ago because the balance was always funky.

Definitely tryin to upgrade(downgrade?) to something like yours.

mine is alright but i gotta use washers to keep it from scratching up the glidecam, and give the uneven bottom clearance. im thinking of buying one like yours of having moonshine make me a plastic spacer or something so i can rotate the side release.

    Just picked up the folowing:

Bogen 3021 legs w/3265 quick release head w/ 2 plates (used, from a guy in Alaska who baby'd the legs for 27 years)
    2 Westcott 45" white umbrellas w/removable backs
    24 Energizer rechargeable batteries
    another Nikon battery charger
2 Manfrotto 026 swivel umbrella adapters

    all for about $350
