    This is ridiculous!

I was almost ready to say that his skating was on the wane. Quite the opposite going by this edit

I hope this didn't get lost in today's sea of edits- absolutely bonkers edit where crazy hammers are outclassed by the next trick. Good work Jeff, good to see you're still pulling hard.

    Amazing, as usual.

    Is the C2 being re-released?

    Hopefully at a lower price?!

That was the most legitimate backslide through a kink I've ever seen. Dalnas is good, Nick P is good, this is good.

Pfff... How many Shima sections did you jerk off to as a kid that had nothing but royalles and topsouls in it? The tricks he did were hard, clean, and on a variety of obstacles. I agree I'd like to see some more switch tricks and spins, but I think you're placing way too high of an importance on it.

Honestly, I could care less about switch and spin direction (other than it being true or a/o or hardspin) Do you really follow every skater so discreetly you know all their switch and regular moves? Get off the couch, and be-mag, and vimeo, and youtube and go skate and have fun. Those were all solid tricks on a variety of obstacles, who cares if none of it is switch. The only time switch does any good is when its in a line, and someone does a fishbrain, then a switch fishbrain, you know? All those tricks were well done, proper style, technique, everything was there. I enjoyed this 20x more than the SSM Colin Kelso edit. All around win.

    Nope.

Why did you enjoy this more? CK's edit had well done tricks, proper style, technique, better filming, better editing (most of the time I find Pisciotta's editing too chill (read, boring)) AND it had switch tricks.

    Inb4 wall of text
You gave me no reasoning behind why it matters if someone does a trick switch, if its not in a line. CK did one switch trick in his edit...in a line. Then he did a switch up, involving a regular soul to a switch top soul. His use of the switch trick in a line, as fantastic, had it been just a solo trick, would have had much less impact on the fact that it was switch....

In regards to why I would enjoy Dalnas more. Probably because Dalnas had a complete section of interesting skating. I have no issue with watching people shred parks, but there is another post today, of a guy named Shane Conn. I dont know the guy, but I preferred watching him over the CK edit. CK does amazing with style. I mean his section in Opinions was great, he moved right up to the top 3 skaters on my list when that came out. His technique and style are great, i love how its like a suction cup when he lands. Filming wise? I think they are near the same level. I mean that comes down to personal taste, but I mean really? CK's was a heavily used fish eye, with the occasional long lens thrown into the mix. Nothing is more awkward than seeing the vignette of a fish eye and cutting to a long shot. You dont even have to be in film school to know that. BUT on the filming note, the camera movement was generally smoother, though I really appreciated Piscotta's use of a long lens and a wide angle that did not vignette. The pace was very different between the two edits, and again, thats a personal preference thing. I liked the pace of CK's edit better, but the use of camera, and the amounts of useless cuts from long to fish eye were plentiful.

I understand your disagreement about all around win. Everyone likes one thing or another. Personally, I have no issue with CK and his skating. I don't understand why everyone else drops their panties when he puts out a section, but again, to each their own. Maybe if CK put out a nice long section again, with a variety of spots and obstacles, I could change my mind. But as the situation is, your arguments are invalid.

    1. That switch tricks matter (CK's 1 switch trick (in a line) is enough to make the whole edit better)

    2. Filming and editing was better --- If you dont mind looking at black corners then cutting into a long lens shot as if there were no vignetting in the previous shot. 90% fish eye, 10% long lens.

    3. Not even an argument.

Complete opposite for me. Ppl can hate on CK all they want, but he knows how to put out proper, thought-out, entertaining blading.

I agree, every single trick in CK's edit had some kind of cool twist to it. His skating is just unique without making it seem like hes trying to hard to do unique things. And yes it was filmed and edited 100 times better than dalnas.
