Almost 30 and I'm still on blades. Every year I think it's my last street season but no ... I just can't quit.

I like this post. It is no longer a big deal to blade at 30. How do you perceive blades if it isn't as toys?

I perceive them as Grindthings that allow me to go fast.

I perceive them as the key to the spiritual gateway. It is the door to freedom and enlightenment. Virtuous due to the requisite of patience and skill, rewarding in the sense of feeling free after practice and feeling accomplished after learning something. The nature of the activity forces you to be present in the moment, more present than the deepest meditation.

I refer to them as godboots, (quark, not the juedeo christian god, but more of a new age feel goody type god).
