Another thing I do every other session, is just finds a lil ledge or rail and just do all my basic tricks switch and natural. Takes a little when to get through them...and if I finish that I go harder tricks switch and natural, like sunny day and cloudy nights both ways.

I went through a phase about 4 years ago in which I was really down on my skating, which is not uncommon because i have always tried to hold my standards as high as I can, but i was finding it to be a frustrating time where i wanted to take my skating in a new direction but wasn't sure how to do so. Essentially what I did at that time was take all my comfort areas of skating and slowly change what my mindset was. I always envied the skaters who managed to look at skating without boundaries. I mean, alot of people talk about how skating doesn't have "limits" but VERY few actually push that envelope with their skating. I have neve pushed the boundaries of the sport with anything that's mind boggling perhaps, but I have managed to adapt my skating to a new mindset that calls for a new outlook everytime i go out and skate. I started taking alot of pride in the lack of repeat spots in sections and edits, I learned that I had expanded my trick vocabulary enough that now I wanted to expand my mental state in skating, I may have never learned how to do all the spin tricks or grind the craziest rail/jump the biggest gap. But I taught myself to be comfortable with finding tricks that are hiding in plain site and approach these spot ideas with more or less the same style that I've had since day one. It's all about finding a new path that makes you happy everytime you accomplish something on your blades which i have gotten down, that's not every skaters solution but it worked for me personally, find an aspect I your skating you aren't comfortable with and take the time and be patient and teach that to yourself, document it with your crew and show it to the world!

Work on becoming the guy at the session who can ________ anything.
Fill in the blank with something that feels good and you're set. You'll never have to do another trick again.
    soon.

Don't know if like... But you're spot on.

Lol I hate being that guy.
Need variety. Who really wants to be a one trick wonder.

Btw I'm not suffering from skaters block myself I was just wondering what be-fags do in that situation.

I usually just don't skate for awhile. I have a bunch of other hobbies so I go do them for awhile. I find taking a little break always renews my interest in skating.

Sadly, there is far more to life than rollerblading.

    This.

....I'm pretty inconsistent with my skating, I never over-motivate myself to skate hard or creative. I cruise around skating small, big, weird stuff. I'm a pretty boring skater....always preferred clean, fast and simple skating. Put some Noothgrush in your ipod while skating, you'll go apeshit.

Riding mountain bikes helps me find hidden pathways in skating.
