Default Switching from Apple to Android

I recently switched from AT&T to Verizon and decided to try out an an droid based phone as well. I've been using one version or another of the iPhone for a few years now. I ended up trying out the razer. I have two weeks to try it out and so far this thing is awful.

Am I missing something with this phone? What are some features it has over the iPhone? Must download apps?

Sadly, there is far more to life than rollerblading.

As far as I'm concerned they're basically the same fucking thing, the difference is all interface and I prefer iOS. I know the tech geeks are going to call blasphemy but I get annoyed easily with android devices, the UI just feels like one big clusterfuck.

i know alot of people first hand who switch to ios from android and say they would never go back. iv had an iphone since the 3g and have no need to ever switch to an android. so to me this means android blows.

I completely understand the cluster fuck comments. Its seems like android has a bit more customizability but, at least to me so far, it comes at the price of an easy to use and navigate interface.

I'm giving this thing until Friday to prove itself and then its going back to the store.

Sadly, there is far more to life than rollerblading.

Yeah, I'm probably returning this thing soon. I'll give the razer one thing, it is a very sleek phone. The display has an awesome clarity to it, the screen is huge and the phone weighs next to nothing. The camera is pretty amazing too.

Sadly, there is far more to life than rollerblading.

i really like the following apps:

google voice: syncs all of your voicemail/texts to your google account. You can text and call from your computer and you can receive texts/calls without your phone. also international calls are cheap.

PDAnet: use your phone as a modem for your computer for free.

amazon mp3 store: cheaper than itunes.

Google maps seems to work better and turn by turn navigation is free.

I like the following features of android:

I can drag and drop from my PC to the android just like a flashdrive...don't like having to use itunes to download music to my phone or drag movies to my phone.

removable/upgradeable battery... can have backups in my car in case i run out in the field.

    RIP Royce

    Write a review.

Anyone switching to Android from Apple will be disappointed. IMO

If you're familiar with an Iphone and don't use it for anything more than Instagram, Facebook, and Temple Run then stick with it.

    fixed

But all srslyness, I love my Android phone. I have an iphone 4 for work and I feel the exact opposite of you. I am kind of a geek though and love trying out different roms and what not.

DL the Amazon app store. They give away apps that normally cost money for free erryday.

I just picked up a Samsung Android phone (my 1st android device) and this thing is stupid easy to use. Removed some of the stock widgets and icons from my homescreen, downloaded a couple apps and widgets and will root when ICS comes out.

Ignoring everything else, Google integration, the 4.3 inch screen and 4G unlimited data are major iPhone killers.

    widgets. widgets everywhere.

not having to open up and load an app to check sports scores is pretty neat during said sports season.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be my next phone for sure. Can't wait to try ICS. iOS seems like it's dumbed down on purpose.
