Thread: Out of Commission =/

    Default Out of Commission =/

So it looks like I'm gonna be out of commission for a while. My ortho said I need exploratory knee surgery and recovery is going to take a few months. The MRI I had done shows that I have multiple bone spurs, scar tissue and arthritis. So they're gonna open it up and clean it out as best they can. Anyone else had to have this done?

Not what you have, but I had a double bundle ACL reconstruction in January of 2010. Tore my right ACL in half, 1/3 of my MCL and a small part of my lateral meniscus. I was out for most of 2010. Everything is fixed and strong now, full range of motion.

Now I worry about my left knee a little bit.

I love kids. They're short, highly emotional people who don't know anything. They rely on their creativity and imagination to get by in the world. A world, I might add, filled with giants. Amazing feat.

get a second opinion, unless the bone spurs are killing you chances are the surgery wont alleve any pain.

Well thankfully my left knee is solid. But, I broke my right knee cap in half about 9 years ago and it has been trash since. I can't even fully extend my leg with out massive amounts of pain.

Jake Cawley shattered his kneecap, too, but that doesn't stop him

Just started skating after a while off due to an ACL surgery. After a month, I'm pretty sure I tore something in my other knee. Knees are fucking terrible.

Yeah knees suck. I've been band-aiding my problem with cortisone shots for a few years now and at this point the cortisone is causing more problems than it's fixing.
