So yes he was aware and probably chose that name as a means to turn confusion =curiosity =checking out one of his songs. I have no idea who this Asap Rocky dude is, but just wanted to point out that Rocky is not at all short for Rakim. 5 letters. I also refuse to know who he is based on the fact that it IS a blatant rip off of Aesop Rock.
