Alex Burston Problem?

Abrete and Silhan are pretty fucking raw, I hope they earn there's sometime in the not to distant future. I never compared Dre to Burston dude...I think you misunderstood me. In order to be a successful pro, am, flow or whatever you have to have a decent damn attitude...and you don't do silly little shit like that for everybody to read. Sometimes it's not all about the crazy shit you do...conduct yourself right it's like martial arts or something, idk Burston does ill ass shit to...he's shown that he can be counted on, he's shown he can place well...he's shown he's got a great attitude. He would destroy Howard at a game of blade, I'd bet 100 on it. Especially if it was in a bowl or on a spine...rail whatever it don't matter burston would smash him. He's been skating around the same amount of time...Euro rollers knew who those guys are to...so that's outa here dude. And yeah he was flow for USD but he was pro...Razors put him where he was supposed to be. I know guys that qualified pro via AIL but lost it when it died...so shit happens in rollerblading, nobody makes hardly shit from pro boot sells anyways.

Holy shit how the fuck is everyone hating on Howard. He has sick ass style has been around way longer than Burston. Is alot better than burston, and Jeph would have to quit then years later burston could possibly get where he was...lets say imyta LA. No, no, he wouldn't but I do understand the marketing aspect. None of which makes those skates any more attractive.

here are the first 4 sections i found online of Alex Burston. i can count the left-footed tricks on one hand, and that is INCLUDING "switch" torque soul, which isn't a switch trick at all. if you think this is pro caliber skating then you really suck at rollerblading and your opinion of good skating is completely worthless. period. it's NOT high caliber skating whatsoever. now that i look at these sections i wouldn't even call him an AM skater. Flow at best. i'm sure there are 100 dudes in England better than him; probably 1,000 better skaters in the US & Russia alone better than him. in Jeph's "Too Much Love" section alone he destroys this kid, let alone his Too Much Love 2, Game Theory, M1, "day with Brett and Jeph," and all his other ones. hopefully i can get another -50 rep points from Quark & The Euro Jockerz on this post, too.

when a skater turns pro there should be more evidence FOR him turning pro than AGAINST him turning pro. not the case with Burston.

EDIT: this is in no way, shape, or form directed at Alex Burston; this is directed at Razors and the people who are saying he deserves to be pro. Burston is just out there doing his thing...its the peole who don't understand professional level rollerblading who have made him/support him being pro.

Wtf idk man...I do know Burston has a bomb ass skate out that's selling, I know he had a killer GC section...I know he's got a good attitude...I don't understand why there's so much hate, I'm sure if he showed up to your local park and shredded with you for a while you wouldn't hate. "Hey you know that pro skate you got out? Yeah you don't deserve it, you suck you should be flow" yeah fucking right dude. Howard is an amazing rollerblader but I don't dig his style that much but it's pretty good for such a tall guy. I'm sure if he gets his act together he could have a razors skate to. Motherfuckers need to gain some damn humbleness in their perspectives on certain things...it's bullshit this guy gets hated on like this...Howard is WRONG for hating on a teammate...that's fucking bullshit and unprofessional...that's what I call a shitty worthless rollerblader! Their fucking actions in their doings...not their perspective on weather a guy deserves something or not. Who the fuck are you to decide what's "pro caliber" rollerblading? I just want to get this out there, but I mean seriously why the fuck are there so many razor logos on these god damn skates now. Theres already like 9 on the liner, 3 on the boot, then they put that big stupid obnoxious one on the cuff, and then they print ANOTHER ONE next to Burstons name? The fuck is that.

you're absolutely right to say that Jeph is wrong for hating on a teammate - that is uncalled for, for sure, and a good observation on your part to call out something that shouldn't happen on a "team."

who am i to say what's pro caliber?? just look at the edits, man - he's skating flat rails and ledges and only using his dominate foot. that's some hometown hero shit - not pro skater shit. that's a flow edit from 10 years ago - not a pro skater's video setction. . . . and what's different is that i'm 28 and have been doing tricks for 17 years, not some 14 year old saying everything has to be switch. and i can roll to any session at any time and see people skating who are WAY better than Alex Burston. if you think this dude is pro then spending a week in California you will meet 150 "pros."

and i would never tell him he doesn't deserve a pro skate, because - like i said in my post - the hate isn't towards him, it's toward people claiming that he is a pro level blader.

this whole thread was started because of "why the hate on Burston?" and i'm just answering the question -- because he isn't a good enough skater to get a pro skate. and plenty of other people in this thread are saying the same thing.

That skate would have sold just as much if Jeph's name was on it, and it would have sold just as much if it was a team skate.

Maybe a few chavs in the UK bought them cause Burston is their boy... but if Jeph's name was on it I'm sure his MN crew would eat that shit up too. I've said it for years, most bladers only care what a skate looks like and not who's name is on it.

To be fair, Rob Abbot is probably on Burstons level of skill and isn't even sponsored or anything. Rollerblading needs to get some fair distribution.
