Surface mail international. SMH. That'll be the day when customers can wait patiently for their stuff to come for about 2-3 months w/o any tracking number.

Our FedEx international prices are messed up for the moment (we are awaiting new negotiated rates as we just switched from UPS to Fedex about 2 weeks ago) but USPS PMI is still the cheapest international shipping from the States on anything substantial that you are going to find.

The only way to get these rates lower is for a company ship more volume.

Okay, I would like 43 pairs of burstons pro skates

Surface mail is wierd over ebay because sometimes it will take months...other times I have recieved a shirt or record in a matter of weeks.

Tracking numbers in the US does not help..
I had family recieve some clothing I ordered while they were in LA.
The items 'disappeared', they sat and waited for the items in their apartment and it was never delivered to their apartment or their friend the landlord.
No pickup sticker or slip to goto the local office.
When they contacted USPS they were told the items were delivered and there was nothing else USPS could do about it.

Had to re order a $100 of product and ship it back to Australia surface mail , Package actually arrived and I took only 1 month.

Surface mail is just terribly inconsistent and shipping stuff that way is fine for friends and family, but when you run a business it's just not reliable enough. We get a lot of people that get worried and upset with the 2 week transit time of USPS. I can only imagine what people would start doing when they A. Couldn't track anything and B. It took a month + to get there.

Plus your neck of the woods gets their packages a lot quicker than most other countries, because your postal service seems to care a bit more. A lot of other countries can take double/triple the time to get there stuff. It's not how far away you are, it's who ends up delivering it.

USPS within the USA (priority mail with no tracking) is insanely cheap and fast. USPS don't give a fuck if they lose it and won't cover anything for the most part. Since it is pretty cheap and a lot of people like it we use it and we ourselves fully guarantee that you will get it whether the post office says it was delivered or not.

    43 Pairs of Burstons?

If you by chance weren't pulling my proverbial chain I'd Put them's on a pallet go with some type of specialty cargo company. Should only be about a grand.

How about 2,000 pairs? I can get that to you for about 2-3k.

The more you ship the more you save.

    Sorry who are you?

Assuming you are from AMall, when you see the prices below can you understand why you are not an option for smart people in Japan?
I meet people who order from you and they think they got a good deal because Japan's prices are stupid.
But then they hear about how i got an extra pair of skates for the price they paid in freight and they vow never to order from you again.
I'm not sure what you can actually do about that but hey.

    Grindhouse
    35 EUR / 44.21USD
    (DHL 1-2 week delivery)

    AMall has 4 choices.
    USPS priority mail $86.85
USPS express mail international (EMS) $128.05
    FedEX international economy $209.50

EDIT: Actually, if you made a couple of skaters Flow (Would have to be the right people though), Plus added some free shit to your shipments then that might help. maybe

    PS. Fuck surface mail

The burstons I was joking about as I saw amall flogging them off on ebay.
Now 43 sets of hi-lo frames .......I'd consider that.

All air shipments leaving the USA is subject to what many industry people call the "UPS tax".
"but my shit is coming DHL, FedEx, Mail, EMS, etc...." shit don't matter.

About 15 years ago the US Mail began to subcontract UPS to move air containers between airports. FedEx then sued the government for setting up a monopoly where UPS would be moving about 90% of air parcels. After the lawsuit the USPS had to subcontract FedEx as well but the prices the UPS was able to offer was 50% less, so the courts ordered UPS to raise their rate so that other companies could compete. This basically squeezed DHL out of the picture leaving UPS and FedEx to set the rates. Today the US Mail DOES NOT OWN AIRPLANES, 100% of their air business is subcontracted to UPS or FedEx.
at this point ups and fedex should just replace usps since usps runs on a deficit

I am Justin / JH from AMALL.

We try and offer everyone the cheapest shipping possible. We don't make any money on shipping and the cheaper we can ship stuff the more we can sell. Trust me, I know that $70-100+ for shipping is a huge deterrent.

I will do my best and look into DHL further next week to see if we can strike up any deals to get international orders to everyone cheaper.
