Default Carbon free - imperial heat moulding

Has any actually tried this? I've got a pair of imperials that Just don't fit. So I'm thinking about heat moulding them.

I won't say it's impossible but it's more than likely that you will warp and ruin your skates

I did it to my Frees 4-5 times, somewhere around 200 degrees for 15 minutes at a time I believe. It helped a little bit but honestly if they just don't fit, they don't fit. You're better off just skating them to try and break them in/buying bigger skates.

yeah ive done it with my richies. Although those skates do break in a lot over time. Imperials are terrible if you have a wide foot haha

I won them from Dem george so I couldn't return them or request a size. I done it anyway and heat moulded them. It seems to have helped a bit. It's more a one foot bigger than the other type problem.

Use an iron and an ironing board. Lots of control that way. Also, you can iron the skins.

To get the plastic hot enough to be moldable you would destroy or distort other parts of the skate. Heat molding will make the liner foam break down faster. The results will be the same or worse as if you had just worn them for a while.
