They'll stretch, but in reality, not as much as you may think. True-sizing them is worthless from what I've read. If you're going to true-size, there are much better options for liners. Putting the 9 Spec Ops in the 8-9 classic shell might be the problem as my 10's are firmly planted in the shell. I'll experiment between the two tomorrow and try to remember some comparison pics for you.

Thanks for the link, but wasn't JustinT supposed to post a tutorial that didn't require taking off the skins? That was what I'm really looking for.

I figured if i couldnt fit into a 9 shell with a "normal" liner then the spec ops would be good, considering im 1/2 a size too big and the width in the arch is a real problem.
so went with the liner that was recommended and the boot size that was "too small" or "1 size down".
the width at the arch was still a problem.

a friend of mine has the 6-7 shell so maybe ill try that lol...

Yea, JT was going to do a how to... not me.
I personally think the liner is.... ummm... OK....
its the skin that i hate.
    shit rips and falls apart.
so while stripping the liner out is good for new skates, ill never do it because the skin will die long before the standard liner does...
If you saw the carbo-remz i did?...... i want to make a hybrid where i only use the toe piece from the remz.
not sure if it will work, what it will look like or any of that but it will allow me to keep the original leather on the outer and a plastic toe.
If i can do it then I'll strip the liner and run the spec ops or the phoenix.

Ahhhh...gotcha. What you've been saying makes a lot more sense to me now. If it's an arch problem, it wouldn't matter what size the liner is if the boot is still putting pressure on them. The only thing I could think of would be more padding below the liner so your foot would sit higher in the boot where it would be wider to accommodate your arches.

    I hope you're joking man!

Yeah, I saw your reviews. They're great and your frankenboot is beyond awesome. I agree that a simple toe-cap would solve so many freaking issues with durability. It's not like Remz are the only skates that did it; K2 and even Rollerblade were doing it years ago. That durability is my main concern about getting carbons or any skinned skate.

As per our discussion on sizing earlier, I tested the 9 and 10 Spec Ops liners in the 8-9 Classic shell. Dropping in the 9's produced every single problem you're talking about. The cuff on the liner was too short, major heel-lift(I think I could've lifted it out of the boot if it weren't for the buckles), cramps and pressure points all over mostly because the liner is too small for my feet. The 9 liner is simply too small for that shell. The liner was 1cm shorter than the 10 and feet were swimming in the toe box. I didn't bother taking pictures, but there is a noticeable visible difference in how the 9 and 10 look and sit in the shell. I strongly recommend that you try and get your feet in a size 10; there's a HUGE difference.

i'm an eu43 in my valo standard and i want put an eu43 of trust special ops in the shell size eu43/eu44. like you but with size eu43!
do you think that it is good?i don't want downsize the shell or upsize the liner, i only want remove this bad pressure in the tip of my feet. because other liner don't fit good in valo without toecut and don't stretch good the tip.
in your opinion, if i have eu43 with jug, i have an eu43 of trust?

It really depends on how much room you have in the shell without the liner. Personally, I would upsize to a 44EU liner because Spec Ops liners stretch to meet a size and fit tight. For example, I have a size 43 Spec Ops in a size 43-44 classic Throne shell and there's more than 2cm of space between my foot and the tip of the shell. If I really wanted to, I could probably put my toes through the lace opening. Where as my size 43 Catalyst liners fit perfectly.

On the otherhand, I skate a size 43 Spec Ops liner in a size 41-42 classic Throne shell and it fits perfectly, whereas no other liner fits me at all.

i have us9 shimas and i need new liners instead of a new boot, because the shima liners get destroyed soo fuckin fast.
now many people say if i dont downsize it sucks, so buy a us10 liner just to make sure the liner is not too small for the boot?
or maybe then my feet are too big for the liner.

and furthermore: what else to buy?
the jugs seem to be a bit too high and tight to me in the ssms

grindhouse told me that an eu44 of trust liner doesn't exist, is it true?
in my valo tv2.5 shell, eu43/44 with a little toecut, can i put an eu43 with comfort and without space in the tip?

    These liners are INCREDIBLE!
Got a size 8US in an 8-9 Valo and it feelsgoodman!
That said, with a toe cut, sliding around might be an issue for those with narrower feet. The PVC waves help some I'm sure, but, too much space would feel awkward.
They fix all my pressure points, and I think I may have to get another set, just to have for emergencies!
And Marshun, my problems were BECAUSE of wide feetz, and they work for me beautifully. The neoprene allows for excellent comfort with wide feet, or odd toes.

I'm a 9.5 in nike airmax and am currently riding size 9 phoenix liners in 9 shells.

put my size 9 trust spec ops liners in the 6-7 classic throne and they fit. put my foot in there and was very surprised!
    shit fits!
I'm not sure what it will be like to try and skate it but my foot actually fits in there.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "fit." How does your foot fit in the shell without the liner?

To get an accurate idea of how much space you have to play with, obviously. I find it hard to believe your foot JUST barely fits in a 7 when you barely fit into a size 9 Spec Ops.

I have to admit, now you got me curious to see if I can cram my feet into my gf's size 7 Valo lights with my 9 Spec Ops. The liners are way too small already, but I guess we'll see.

I'll say again, i didn't skate them. Standing in my living room, my foot fit into the skate set up that way.

without skating?what idea of fit have you?fit in the liner isn't touch the tip. pressure point, heel, foot plant...for disover this things you have to test your skate.

    Chill. The. Fuck. Out....

I was merely pointing out a funny fact that my foot would actually fit inside the shell.
Instead of typing that shit you should have spent that time doin something benificial for the people.
