I dunno man, I can't really think of a good way to stop that doesn't affect your skates at all besides running into a wall. I usually either drag my foot in a T formation which will make flat spots eventually or I just do that backwards and dig my negative plate into the ground. It kinda looks like an alleyoop mizou.
Find some other bladers and learn from them, always the easiest solution.
when i wanted to learn how to skate backwards i took lessons at a local skating rink.
as soon as i learned what i wanted, i quit
i like the skates but would buy some varsity plates for them/replace the stock buckle. the stock buckle doesn't stay closed for anything.
when i used to instruct i taught people to t-stop by standing still with your feet in a T shape (front foot mirrors y axis and back foot runs perpendicular to it mirroring x axis) roll the front foot forward and then drag your back foot up to it without deviating further right or left in direction. once you develop the muscles needed to do this you will be able to do it while moving. the dragging of the back foot slows you down. standing up will also help slow you down but do not recommend that until you feel comfortable with balancing otherwise you could slip out and fall backwards.
also if you ever feel like your falling backwards in the k2's standing upright then please invest in a heel pad. you can also buy another foot bed from your local grocery store and cut it in half at the heel and then place that under the stock footbed
Yeah thanks I got it down actually Ally Oop mizou style of breaking is pre impressive but by learninng that I now hav a busted buckle. ... Gettin the new remz
wtf
how the hell did that break your buckle? i can see it tearing up your neg plates but the buckle??
actually find it simple to drag my foot like I'm doing a soul grind. It slows me down and the angle of my foot eventually spins me forward (if I want to). Only do this when I'm skating fakie and trying to stop or just slow my speed before jumping on certain objects fakie.

t stops are awful
"You are a menace. A walking pestilence."
what size are those K2's? if you're buying new ones can have your fatty pros?
this is a good qestion i usually just turn, come to think of it i never really "stop" i just keep rolling and turn to soak up speed
one time i landed a trick and just dropped to cess slide thingy to avoid hitting my friend with the camera.
i feel like the only time i'd really need to full on stop would be in case of emergency, in which case i would drop down and slide on my butt
Ice skated over the winter mastered the hockey stop K2 are gone to shit the buckle broke iunno how but all i kno is that spings coming
and im getting some Valo AB.VX
