Good read and interesting application of theories but... really?
Blading, to me and I'm sure to a lot of others, is a means to escape unwanted thoughts that range from daily worries like an idiot boss pissing you off, to things as huge and un-resolvable as war, dictators and the corruption of power. It seems a shame to associate these negative topics with blading, regardless of whatever truth there is behind it. I don't want to be thinking about how perhaps the trick I'm attempting next time I blade has been influenced by symbolic power, leading to an internal debate of whether the gratification I would receive from it is just, and ultimately ruining the experience of my ignorance.
Shit, if I put some slayer on my ipod and listen to that because of jonjon's skate promo while I blade, it FEELS GOOD and I don't give a fuck if it's a consequence of his pastoral power and ability to make shit cool, I enjoy it and need it in my life.

tl;dr interesting, but i don't care because thinking about blading on this level spoils it and removes its purpose as a stress reliever
