Thread: So I took a stab at the SSM Since Now Contest...

Default So I took a stab at the SSM Since Now Contest...

I think it was pretty sweet they put on something like this. The stories that were told were pretty interesting to say the least and I hope that other companies open up their minds in the future when it comes to events/contests/etc like this. I was able, like others, to showcase and explain (or attempt to explain haha) what blading means to me to a decent amount of people in and out of blading. This ranged from family, friends, teachers, and even co workers who were surprised to see what blading was after hearing me mention it many times before. Adding to that, the personal aspect was something that I enjoyed the most. This contest displayed the stories of all types of people in the world doing what we love, and it was great to so a good amount of diversity from edit to edit. Rollerblading is alive and the stories from this contest prove that. They prove that because as long as there are people all over the world willing to share their experiences with blading, more people will know what it is we do and how dope it is. Anyways, here's my edit I tossed together at the last minute just to get my story out there. Anyone else that may have thrown something together telling their story should post their edit too, I enjoyed watching them! Later.

Thanks guys! I feel like an edit like this is something worth doing. I know not everyone feels they need to explain themselves when it comes to skating but, for those that want to, it only goes to show how different we'll all really are. We all have different origins along with additional responsibilities outside of blading. Yet, at the end of the day, we're still connected by it. Plus, it'll be nice to have something sentimental as we get older and begin new chapters of our lives. So alf, I say do it man!

I agree we all came from different backgrounds so it's interesting to see how people picked it up.

Wow, that was really good. Thanks for posting this

I love kids. They're short, highly emotional people who don't know anything. They rely on their creativity and imagination to get by in the world. A world, I might add, filled with giants. Amazing feat.

That was a good piece but the shaky filming bothered me for some reason. Nice Job though, enjoyed it.

One of the faults of shooting with a DSLR, it bothered me as well when putting it together. But, you do what you can right? Thanks for watching man
